This is my celtic-style arrangement of the hymn 'It Is Well with My Soul', which comes with sheet music, recordings and a midi file.
The tune used for this hymn is called 'Ville de Havre'.

WHAT YOU GET WITH THIS DOWNLOAD:
1. pdf scores of the sheet music
2. the example recording you can hear in player above
3. backing tracks for playing along with
4. practise recordings to help with learning the harmony parts by ear
5. a midi file
Read below for a detailed description!
-----------------------------------------------------
With this download, you'll receive sheet music scores in a variety of formats:
* string quartet
* violin trio with cello
* violin trio with viola (cello part transcribed up an octave)
Each score also includes chords for an accompanist, e.g. guitar or piano. (Note - the piano part in the recordings is improvised to the chords; there is no scored piano part included with this download, only chord symbols.)
This makes them versatile as you can use the harmony parts with different groups of instruments, from a violin duet or violin and cello duet (for example) up to a large string ensemble. In my example recording, I play the arrangements several times with different combinations of harmony parts played each time through.
By picking different parts, you can play them on any of the following instrument combinations:
* Violin duet
* Violin trio
* Violin trio and cello
* Violin duet and cello
* Violin and cello
* Violin trio and viola
* Violin duet and viola
* Violin and viola
* Two violins and two violas
...or even
* String quartet
You'll also receive recordings:
* The demo recordings of the different harmony parts as heard above;
* Backing tracks for playing along with - these are a "full" backing track which includes everything except the main melody, which can be used by a solo instrument or singer; and a backing track with the just the piano chords, which a group of melody and harmony players can play along with if they don't have a chordal player but would like one;
* "Practise mixes". These are recordings with each harmony part turned up in the mix, and the tune turned down, which can be helpful to people who learn mostly by ear.
